Winter garden.

I am a maker of things, and one of those things is food. In the season, here in the North land, I plant my vegetables - stretching the season as long as possible. This year I planted turnips in August for late season harvest and was able to enjoy the turnips and greens into the late fall. In early November I harvested the last of the crop, carefully cleaned them and put them into baggies in the refrigerator for my winter salads. They are not the last of the veggies, Daikon radish still remain, but these were taken out today and were delicious in my salad of spinach, walnuts and homemade saukerkraut from George. Topped with a touch of raspberry walnut dressing.

November harvest still fresh and great tasting in February,
