Jo Eaton and Pat Smith: Creative Cousins
The Artists

No Repeats Fiberworks hats and whimsies capture the colors of the world around
us using the wonderful fun yarns of today, classic worsted yarns in acrylic, wool, and
blends, and a variety of hand spun fibers  from Jo Eaton and other Maine spinners.

Our traditional folk artists, Jo Eaton and Pat Smith, offer one-of-a-kind crocheted
designer hats, scarves, flowers, and dog sweaters. Using luxury, traditional, fun, and
hand spun fibers, our traditional artists learn to make hats - not follow patterns.
Inspired by classic hats, flowers, and the Maine landscape, the hats are created in
series, yet each is distinctive.

Each of the hats is inspired by the fibers that shape them. Some fibers request a
particular form; for example, lupines, roses, or tulips. Other fibers ask to stand alone
in simple caps.

Crocheted in the tradition of Jo’s family, learned from her Aunt Jeanette and her
mother, Barbara Richards, the fibers beautifully lend themselves to being worked
with a crochet hook, one stand at a time, drawn through the air to create hats of
beauty and warmth.
