Renaissance Festivals
Jo Eaton has sold hats for over thirty years through shops, cooperatives, and craft fairs on a part
time basis.  In 2005, she went full time at shows in the fall and in October of 2007 decided to go full
time with her hats.  Seeking new venues led her to the spring flower shows.  At one of these shows,
a Medieval Bakery, Eccles Cakes  (www.ecclescakes.com,) asked her to make crowns for their
staff.  Until this time only one crown had been made, the one on the upper left made to celebrate
Paul's sixtieth birthday.  Immediately the crowns were a hit, it was just before Easter and several
were purchased for Easter, and for a variety of other reasons.  The garlands, aka crowns, tiaras,
ribbons, were on their way.  Other vendors suggested Renaissance Festivals and now No Repeats
is participating in Renaissance Faires and Fairy (Faerie, Faery, Fairie, and Feri) Festivals.

In addition to period costuming, fairy costumes, weddings, and holidays; the following is a listing of
some of the great reasons people have chosen to add a garland or crown to their life:

  • Judy plays her harp for senior citizens.  They have often asked her to dress up more, she
    now wears a ribbon garland.

  • An organic gardener purchased two ribbon garlands for her and a friend to wear when they
are having tea in their garden.

  • A woman purchased one to keep in her home in order to treat her friends like royalty.

  • Several have been purchased as everyday crowns, just to add zest to daily life.

  • Flower girls in wedding parties.

  • Bridal head wear.

  • To wear when making Fairy House.  See Fairy Houses by Tracy Kane: www.fairyhouses.com

  • To wear when visiting hospice patients.

  • Just because.

  • Now what would be your  reason for adding some joy to your day?
